After the 1st volume « AFRICAN GUITARS ANTHOLOGY », here is the second one: « AFRICAN VOICES ANTHOLOGY »
It is likely that vocal expression emerged in Africa before evolving into countless different traditions. African Voices Anthology takes us across the continent from north to the south on a voyage of discovery of the greatest contemporary singers. Some, including Cape Verde’s Cesaria Evora, South Africa’s Mahotella Queens, Gabon’s Pierre Akendengue and Angola’s Bonga, are already legends, while others, such as Guinea’s Sia Tolno, Reunion Island’s Nathalie Natiembé and Chad’s Mounira Mitchala, are now opening a new chapter in the history of black music.
