Best of The Lusafrica Years
It was on september 1939 that Orquesta Aragon performed their first show at a private party in a house of Cienfuegos, on the corner of Christina and Gloria streets. It is the date that remained as the official birth of the group.
To celebrate that event making Orquesta Aragon one of the oldest groups still in activity, Lusafrica is releasing a Best Of the recordings the Cuban charanga did for the Parisian label – in three exceptionally good albums (Quien Sabe Sabe - 1998, La Charanga Eterna - 1999, En Route - 2001), the Cuban group has come back to the spotlights and conquered a new audience thanks to their dizzy rhythm.
This album also includes three exclusive tracks, recorded during the studio sessions of La Charanga Eterna and En Route.
